Founder/Director/Coach John fields Jr
Coach John Fields is the founder of NYC Next Up Elite Basketball. He founded the organization the same year he began his coaching career, in 2015. John grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn where he played CYO, BCBA & AAU Basketball. His high school basketball career began at Bishop Ford High School and he played at Samuel J Tilden H.S. as well. John went on to attend Herkimer County Community College in Herkimer, NY. Aside from serving as a coach for his own organization, John is also the Assistant Varsity Coach for Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School. He is excited to see what his future holds as he strives to empower, educate and cultivate relationships with each player by giving them what they need to be successful teammate/ Pillar of their community.
Manager Naomi Desravines
Naomi Desravines, a junior at Cristo Rey Brooklyn HS that currently holds a GPA of 3.91. She seeking to attend Georgetown or Cornell University as Top choices in the fall of 2020. Naomi partakes in a work-study program where She interns at PalmCo Energy. She also is the founder/CEO of The Shameless Slay hair and eyelash extension kind.
Coach James Janiver
Coach James has been partnered with NYC Next Up Elite Basketball from the start. James experience extends to operating adult leagues in NYC as well as coaching youth in flag football with “United Sports Youth League”. Coach James is driven to see the success of each child in our community.
